عطلت آبل تطبيق Walkie-Talkie على أجهزة Apple Watch بسبب ثغرة تسمح لأحد بالتنصت على ميكروفون ساعة آبل بدون الموافقة .
تم إبلاغ آبل مباشرةً بخصوص الثغرة و تعتقد أن الثغرة لم تستخدم ضد آي من عملائها ،يظل تطبيق Walkie-Talkie مثبتاً على ساعة أبل ، على الرغم أنه لن يعمل حتى يتم إصلاح الثغرة من آبل .
لقد أصدرت آبل بالفعل بياناً بشأن هذه الثغرة :
“We were just made aware of a vulnerability related to the Walkie-Talkie app on the Apple Watch and have disabled the function as we quickly fix the issue. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and will restore the functionality as soon as possible. Although we are not aware of any use of the vulnerability against a customer and specific conditions and sequences of events are required to exploit it, we take the security and privacy of our customers extremely seriously. We concluded that disabling the app was the right course of action as this bug could allow someone to listen through another customer’s iPhone without consent.We apologize again for this issue and the inconvenience.”
“لقد علمنا للتو بوجود ثغرة أمنية متربطة بتطبيق Walkie-Talkie على ساعة آبل و قمنا بتعطيل التطبيق لإصلاح المشكلة بسرعة. نعتذر لعملائنا عن الإزعاج و سنقوم بإعادة التطبيق في أسرع وقت ممكن . على الرغم من أننا لسنا على دراية بأي استخدام للثغرة الأمنية ضد اي أي عميل … ، فإننا نأخذ أمان و خصوصية عملائنا على محمل الجد ، أن تعطيل التطبيق هو الإجراء الصحيح لأن هذا الخطاً قد يسمح لشخص ما بالإستماع لعميل آخر دون الموافقة . نعتذر مرة أخرى عن هذه المشكلة وللإزعاج .”
